TC VOLLEYBALL ENDS SEASON IN SEMI-STATE CHAMPIONSHIP. A history-making Triton Central volleyball season came to an end Saturday night in the Class 2A Semi-State Championship, as the Tigers fell to 2A No. 1 Barr-Reeve, 3-0, at Bedford North Lawrence High School. Despite the defeat, the Tigers walked off the court as one of the top four teams in 2A — a milestone moment for the program. Earlier in the day, Triton Central continued its postseason run by defeating Eastern (Pekin), 3-1, in the semi-state semifinal to secure a spot in the evening championship match. Triton Central finishes its sensational season 25-9, capturing the Shelby County Tournament title, a Sectional championship, the first Regional championship in program history, and advancing all the way to the Final Four in Class 2A.
