TC GIRLS SOCCER TIES FRANKLIN WITH LAST-SECOND GOAL, JV REMAINS UNBEATEN. The Triton Central varsity girls soccer team battled to a thrilling 2-2 draw with Franklin Community at home Monday night. With just 10.2 seconds remaining, freshman Maddie Burnett buried the equalizer off an assist from Rylie Pruitt to keep the Tigers from a narrow defeat. Burnett also scored TC’s opening goal earlier in the match, set up by Ariel Walker. The tie moves the Tigers’ varsity record to 5-2-2. In the junior varsity match, Triton Central stayed unbeaten with a 1-0 victory over Franklin Community. Alina Kahler provided the game’s lone goal as the JV squad improved to 7-0-1. Triton Central will be back in action Wednesday at Speedway. The JV kicks off at 5:30 PM, followed by the varsity at 7 PM.
