TC GIRLS SOCCER WINS AT SHELBYVILLE. The Triton Central girls varsity soccer team extended its winning streak to five Thursday night, grinding out a 1-0 victory at Shelbyville. Freshman Maddie Burnett delivered the lone goal of the match, finding the net off an assist from sophomore Rylee Pruitt. The defensive effort was anchored once again by senior goalkeeper Cheyenne Allen, who earned her sixth shutout of the season. With the victory, the Tigers improved to 5-1-1 (1-0 HLC) on the year. The junior varsity squad kept its perfect record intact, notching a 3-1 win over Shelbyville. Lilly Kegley, Harper Young, and Alina Kahler all scored for the Tigers, with Kahler also dishing out two assists. The JV team now sits at 6-0. Triton Central will put its streaks on the line Saturday morning in a Hoosier Legends Conference matchup at Tri-West. Varsity kicks off at 10 AM, followed by JV at 11:30 AM.
