VOLLEYBALL VS. GREENWOOD (9/10)

TC VOLLEYBALL RALLIES TO BEAT GREENWOOD IN FIVE, JV WINS IN TWO. The Triton Central volleyball team showed resilience Wednesday night, rallying from two sets down to defeat Greenwood 3-2 on the road. After dropping the opening sets 25-14 and 32-30, the Tigers fought back with a 25-19 win in the third, followed by a 25-22 victory in the fourth to force a decisive fifth set. Triton Central carried the momentum to close out the match with a 15-8 win. Gwyn Williams served up four aces to lead the Tigers at the line, while Lucy May powered the offense with 11 kills. Savannah Plew and Addy Gibbs each recorded two solo blocks, and Alaina Darlage anchored the defense with 35 digs. Maryrose Felling set the tone offensively with 14 assists. With the win, Triton Central improved to 10-5 on the season. The Tiger junior varsity squad also earned a win, defeating Greenwood 2-0 by scores of 25-14 and 25-18. Elly May tallied four aces and seven digs, while Ryn West contributed three solo blocks and three kills. The JV team is now 7-3. Triton Central is back in action tonight at New Palestine. The JV match starts at 5:30 PM, followed by varsity at 6:30 PM.
