TC CROSS COUNTRY COMPETES AT GOLDEN BEAR INVITE. The Triton Central High School cross country teams returned to Blue River Memorial Park in Shelbyville over the weekend to compete in the Shelbyville Golden Bear Invitational, continuing a season that has featured steady improvement from the Tigers. Leading the way for the TC girls team was Audrey Morris, who continued her strong sophomore season with another solid performance. The boys team received a boost with the return of Max Tupper to competition, allowing the Tigers to field a complete scoring team for the first time in nearly five years. The opportunity to compete as a team paid off, as Triton Central earned a sixth-place finish in the Gold Division. Jason P’Pool led the Tigers in the team competition, while Brayden Hart and Max Tupper turned in noteworthy performances by each recording a new season personal record. The Tigers have continued to make strides throughout the season, with individual runners consistently improving their times while the boys team now has the opportunity to compete together as a scoring unit. Triton Central will return to Blue River Memorial Park once again this Saturday when the Tigers compete in the Hoosier Legends Conference Championships.
