TC VOLLEYBALL SWEEPS GREENWOOD. The Triton Central volleyball team picked up its 10th win of the season Thursday night, sweeping Greenwood 3-0 on the road in a Hoosier Legends Conference matchup. The Tigers battled through a competitive opening set, earning a 25-23 victory. TC then found its rhythm, taking the second set 25-17 before closing out the match with a 25-13 win in the third set. Lucy May led the Triton Central attack with 11 kills, while Anna Kemper recorded eight assists. Keely O'Gara provided a spark from the service line with four aces. The Tigers also received contributions at the net, with Kemper, Addy Gibbs and May each recording a solo block. Alaina Darlage added nine digs to help lead the defensive effort. The victory improves Triton Central to 10-5 overall and 6-1 in Hoosier Legends Conference play. JV Tigers Sweep Greenwood The TC JV squad also came away with a 2-0 victory over Greenwood. The Tigers won the opening set 25-19 before holding off Greenwood in the second set, 25-23. Ady Wright led the JV offense with eight kills, while Ella Weaver directed the offense with 16 assists. Kaylynn Alexander anchored the defense with 15 digs, and Ryn West recorded four aces. The JV victory moves Triton Central to 8-3 overall and 6-1 in HLC play. Both Tiger squads will be back in action Saturday morning when Triton Central travels to Lawrenceburg for its next matchup. After Thursday night's road sweeps, TC will look to continue its strong conference season when the Tigers return to the court Saturday.
