TC SOFTBALL BEATS RUSHVILLE, JV LOSES. Triton Central softball saw another high-scoring night Tuesday as the varsity team earned a road victory while the junior varsity squad battled in a tough home loss. The Triton Central Tigers softball varsity offense stayed hot in a 17-11 win over Rushville Lions softball. The Tigers continued their season-long trend of explosive offensive performances, piling up runs throughout the contest and holding off Rushville in a game filled with offense on both sides. With the win, the Tigers improve to 11-7 on the season. At home, the TC JV squad dropped an 18-14 decision to Lawrence North Wildcats softball. Despite the loss, the Tigers showed plenty of fight offensively, putting together 14 runs in a competitive matchup. The JV team now sits at 2-5 on the year. The JV Tigers return to action Wednesday night at home against Beech Grove Hornets softball with first pitch scheduled for 5:30 PM. Varsity will be back on the field Thursday night when Triton Central hosts Greenwood Woodmen softball at 5:30 PM.
