TC GIRLS TENNIS BEATS SPEEDWAY, STAYS UNBEATEN. Triton Central’s girls tennis team continued its dominant run Wednesday night, sweeping Speedway 5-0 on the road to improve to 10-0 on the season. The Tigers controlled the match from the outset, turning in another complete performance across both singles and doubles play. At No. 1 singles, Maryrose Felling led the way with a strong 6-0, 6-3 victory over Antonella Rosa. Anniston Evans followed with a solid outing at No. 2 singles, winning 6-2, 6-1, while Zhibek Zhumaly delivered another impressive performance at No. 3, cruising to a 6-1, 6-0 win to complete the singles sweep. Triton Central’s doubles teams continued the momentum with dominant play. At No. 1 doubles, Kate Collier and Estelle Gearlds handled their opponents with ease, earning a 6-0, 6-1 victory. The No. 2 duo of Ellie Gast and Cadence Roberts was nearly flawless, posting a 6-0, 6-0 shutout to finish off the team win. The junior varsity squad added to the strong showing with a 4-0 sweep. Morgan Fisher led off with an 8-2 win at No. 1 singles, while Lexi Poole followed with an 8-0 victory. In doubles, the teams of Caydence Stout and Keely O’Gara, along with Anna Kemper and Kenzie Hoover, both earned convincing wins to complete the clean sweep. With the victory, Triton Central improves to 10-0 on the year and continues to build momentum with consistent performances throughout the lineup. The Tigers will look to keep their undefeated streak alive Friday evening when they travel to Waldron, with matches scheduled to begin at 4:30 PM.
