BOYS GOLF VS. INDIAN CREEK (4/16)

TC BOYS GOLF FALLS TO INDIAN CREEK IN HOME OPENER. Triton Central hosted its home opener Thursday night at The Links Golf Club, squaring off against Indian Creek in a varsity and JV matchup. Despite a strong showing from several Tigers, Indian Creek claimed the varsity win with a team score of 164, while Triton Central’s top squad finished second with a 180. The Tigers were led by Colton Ayres, who fired an impressive 42 to tie for third overall and pace Triton Central on the night. Hayden Beaver followed closely with a 44, earning a seventh-place finish, while Max Crouse and Corbin Beaver each carded 47s to round out the team scoring. Indian Creek was powered by medalist Rhys Shand, who posted a match-low 39, along with Isaac Spurgeon’s 41 and a trio of 42s that helped separate the Braves from the field. Triton Central’s second varsity group posted a team score of 208, led by Ryder Trimble (49) and Jacob Rayfield (50), while Devon Gurganus (54), Chance Uhls (55), Grant Long (57), and Austin McVey (58) rounded out the lineup. On the junior varsity side, Triton Central’s JV “2” team took first with a 182, led by Seth Richardson’s 54 and Maddox Ralston’s 59. The JV “1” team followed with a 190, with Austin Toon (59) and Kody Ransburg (63) leading the way. Triton Central will return to The Links on Wednesday night to host Eastern Hancock. Tee time is set for 4:30 PM.
