BOYS BASKETBALL VS. INDIAN CREEK (2/10)

TC BOYS BASKETBALL BEATS INDIAN CREEK, JV FALLS. Triton Central’s varsity boys basketball team continued its strong season Tuesday night with a 62-47 victory over Indian Creek, while the junior varsity fell just short, losing 48-47 in a nail-biter. Varsity Recap The Tigers started the game evenly, holding a slim 15-13 lead after the first quarter. However, Triton Central pulled away in the second quarter, outscoring Indian Creek 21-9 to take a commanding 36-22 halftime advantage. The Tigers maintained their momentum through the second half, ending the third quarter up 51-33 and cruising to a 62-47 victory. Senior Eli Sego led the way with 29 points, while Brayden Hoover added 10. Other contributors included Henry Kemper with 7 points, Conner McClure 6, Grant Long 5, Brody Hartman 3, and Jackson Faust 2. With the win, Triton Central improves to 15-3 on the season. JV Recap The junior varsity game was a thrilling contest that went down to the wire. After a rough start in the first quarter, trailing 14-9, TC fought back to take an 18-22 halftime lead. The teams traded baskets in the second half, with Indian Creek holding a narrow 34-33 lead after the third quarter. In the final moments, the Tigers came up just short, losing 48-47. Top scorers for the JV included Landon Bailey and Owen Hornberger with 11 points each, Dylan Showalter 8, Chace Calderone 7, Julius Schlottmann 4, and both Dominic Moore and Conner Eubanks with 3 points apiece. The JV team’s record now stands at 11-5. Looking Ahead Triton Central will host Greensburg on Friday night. The junior varsity game tips off at 6 PM, followed by the varsity at 7:30 PM.
