TC GIRLS BASKETBALL RALLIES PAST EASTERN HANCOCK, ADVANCE TO SECTIONAL FINAL. Triton Central showed poise under pressure Friday night, rallying in the fourth quarter to edge Eastern Hancock 60-58 in the IHSAA Class 2A Sectional 43 semifinals at Heritage Christian. The Tigers came out sharp, building a 17-13 lead after the first quarter. The game tightened in the second period, but TC held a slim 30-28 advantage at halftime. Eastern Hancock seized momentum in the third quarter, outscoring the Tigers 16-10 to take a 44-40 lead into the final frame. With their season on the line, Triton Central responded. Behind clutch baskets and steady execution down the stretch, the Tigers turned the tide in the fourth quarter, outscoring Eastern Hancock 20-14 to escape with the two-point victory. Balanced scoring fueled the comeback effort. Kate Collier led the way with 17 points, while Maryrose Felling added 15 and Quinn King chipped in 13. Layla Compton scored nine points, and Cheyenne Allen contributed six in the hard-fought win. With the victory, Triton Central improves to 20-4 on the season and advances to the Sectional 43 championship game. The Tigers will face host Heritage Christian on Saturday night at 7:30 PM, with a sectional title on the line.
