TC BOYS BASKETBALL SWEEPS LUTHERAN. Triton Central’s varsity boys basketball team leaned on defense and timely scoring Saturday night to earn a 41–35 victory over Indianapolis Lutheran at home. Lutheran held a slim 11–10 lead after the first quarter, but the Tigers responded in the second, taking a 24–20 advantage into halftime. The game remained tight through the third quarter, with Triton Central clinging to a 27–26 lead heading into the final period. The Tigers made enough plays down the stretch to secure the six-point win in a physical, defensive battle. Eli Sego led Triton Central with 14 points, while Jackson Faust added eight. Brody Hartman and Grant Long each scored six points, Henry Kemper chipped in four, and Brayden Hoover finished with three. With the win, Triton Central improves to 12–2 on the season. In the junior varsity contest, Triton Central jumped out to a big early lead and cruised past Scecina 48–31. The Tigers led 15–2 after the first quarter and 23–8 at halftime before pulling away in the second half. Owen Hornberger paced the JV squad with 10 points. Dominic Moore added eight, Conner Eubanks scored six, and Landon Bailey, Jayden Abplanalp, and Chace Calderone each contributed five. Julius Schlottmann, Dylan Showalter, and Jackson Ratliff scored two apiece, while Hudson Reichanadter added three. The TC JV team now stands at 9–3 on the year. Triton Central will be back on the road Saturday night at Eastern Hancock. The junior varsity game is scheduled for 6 PM, followed by the varsity contest at 7:30 PM.
