TC GIRLS BASKETBALL SWEEPS NORTHWEST WARRIORS Triton Central’s varsity girls basketball team put together another strong home performance Thursday night, defeating Northwest Warriors Homeschool 59–36. The Tigers jumped out to a 14–7 lead after the first quarter and continued to build momentum, taking a 32–21 advantage into halftime. Triton Central pulled away in the second half, outscoring Northwest 27–15 over the final two quarters to secure the 23-point win. Maryrose Felling led all scorers with 30 points. Kate Collier added seven points, while Quinn King and Layla Compton each scored six. Cheyenne Allen finished with four points, and Lexi Eubanks chipped in four. Rylee Pruitt rounded out the scoring with two. With the win, Triton Central improves to 14–3 on the year. In the junior varsity game, Triton Central dominated from start to finish, rolling past Northwest Warriors 51–6. After a slow start, the Tigers erupted for 20 points in the second quarter to take a 26–2 halftime lead and never looked back. Maddie Burnett led the JV squad with 13 points, while Ryn West added 12 and Peyton Fillippinie scored nine. Anna Kemper chipped in eight points, Laiyla McLane added four, and Kenzie Hoover and Madison Swisher rounded out the scoring with three and two points, respectively. The TC JV team is now 12–5 on the season. Triton Central will be back on the road Saturday for a Hoosier Legends Conference matchup at Indian Creek. The junior varsity game is scheduled for 6 PM, followed by the varsity contest at 7:30 PM.
